Why Fat is SO Important for Fertility

So many women come to our site and message us with their fertility struggles, and tell us about their "perfect" diet, which is often vegan, vegetarian, sometimes raw foods, often low-fat.

So much about fertility is about getting ourselves and our bodies resonating on a more ancestral frequency... this fast-paced life isn't conducive to fertility or longevity in general.

While many women recognize this and try to get back to basics, so to speak, when it comes to the food we put in our bodies, we often have a blind spot.

Our ancestors were not eating processed, packaged foods, and they for sure weren't vegan.

They ate animal products and animal fats whenever they could, and while that may not have been multiple times a day, I can assure you that they were not eating grains and sugars at every meal.

Healthy Fats

When women ask me what to eat, I usually encourage them to include warming bone broths, healthy fat foods like avocados and olives, and yes... really good quality animal products and meat.

While I have no interest in having a debate about the virtues of vegetarianism or veganism, and I'm not even interested in "talking you out" of something you believe in,

I'll just let you know that we've had quite a few vegan women who were struggling with infertility become pregnant after adding animal products into their diet.

If you can't quite bring yourself to eat meat, see how adding some bone broth to your day feels.
